Field Testing Services

We perform in-situ ABI®  field testing services to nondestructively measure tensile and fracture toughness properties of new and aging infrastructures, including in-service pipelines, bridges, and storage containers, when destructive testing is inappropriate, impossible, or too costly.

The in-situ ABI®  tests are performed using our SSM mobile systems which can be attached to your metallic structure or component eliminating the need to cut or machine conventional destructive samples.

Key Mechanical Properties from ABI®  in-situ tests:

·         Yield strength

·         True-stress/true plastic-strain curve

·         Strain hardening exponent (n)

·         Strength coefficient (k)

·         Uniform ductility

·         Ultimate strength

·         Fracture toughness values

·         Reference temperature and fracture toughness master curve analysis
